Not a book chapter, but an FFA Chapter. We kicked butt in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies today. We won a whole bunch of ribbons, for the entire Chapter and individual, and I even got a ribbon that I get to keep all for myself. I'm astonished because the ribbon I won was for the Best Informed Greenhand (1st place), even though I was sure I was going to fail that thing. Wow.
But that's not the best part. The best part was the speaking. I did the best I'd done ever since last year. I wasn't the best, but I loved speaking. I was the Treasurer, and my lines are short, but they're great and the hardest for me to get and to say right.
When my team was going to go up and speak, I was shaking. I was all nervous and my heart was beating at 100 mph. Which was probably why my voice sounded so high when I spoke. But it was great! I want to that over and over and over again.
I also wanted to wear the FFA uniform forever. I felt amazing, I felt confident, I felt like I could do anything. I didn't care that my heels were hell, or that my shirt was being annoying, or that my tights were sliding, I was the SR Green Treasurer and I was going to give my best speech ever, and I was AMAZING. That's how it felt, wearing the FFA uniform. I didn't want to take it off afterwards, but I had to give the jacket and the scarf back to the girl who lent them to me. But now I want my very own royal blue FFA jacket with my name sewed on in gold thread. I want that scarf. I want to be in FFA forever, dammnit! It was such a great experience though, and I won, and now all of humanity is saved.
